Day: - 1

On your arrival in Zanzibar, reception and transfer from the airport to your hotel located on the east coast of the island, in Jambiani, in front of the Indian Ocean (D). You will like the atmosphere of this village and the relaxed rhythm of life. Stay half board, overnight at the hotel.

Day: - 2

Jambiani (B,D): departure early in the morning with your driver for Kizimkazi in the South of the island, known as "the bay of 1000 dolphins". You will embark on a small boat with a fisherman and can observe dolphins. You will be provided with complete equipment (mask and snorkel), to swim with them. On the way back, if you wish it, you can visit the village and en route admire the biggest baobab in the area. Free time for lunch. Spare time in the afternoon and overnight at the hotel.

Day: - 3

Jambiani (B,D): day off to take advantage of the beach lined with coconut palms and with neighborhood. Diverse activities are proposed in particular the dive. Look at the departure of fisherman in their dhows in the white sails and especially the women zanzibaries who come down at low tide to collect seaweed, agricultural wealth " which is of use to the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, food and cosmetic products. A show not to be missed! Free time for lunch and overnight at the hotel.

Day: - 4

Jambiani-Nungwi (B,D) : transfer to Nungwi in the North to your boutique hotel in front of the beach, the warm sea and the turquoise blue water. Stay half board. Spare time to visit fishermen's village nearby, local shipyard for the construction of typical boats called Dhow and Ngalawa, and visit tortoise sanctuary (the place where wounded tortoises and the other marine animals are taken care of until they are well enough to be released back to nature). Overnight at the hotel.

Day: - 5

Nungwi (B,D) : spare time to visit the fish market early in the morning. Depending on what was caught the previous night, you will find line tuna, kingfish, Dorado... You will also see the local fishermen (and the women) who wade at the edge of the coral reef to catch certain number of small marine creatures, including squid, octopus, fish-globe, which are also sold to the market. Day of relaxation on the beach or swimming in the crystalline water. Here there are bikes to rent or several optional excursions which can be organized by the hotel, such as the scuba diving, boat trips and fishing. The best way to end the day is to take a cruise in a dhow to admire the sunset. Overnight at the hotel.

Day: - 6

Nungwi-Stone Town (B,L): meet with your driver for transfer to Stone Town with a stop on the way for a " spice tour", a delight of the senses...Cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, pepper black, cumin, ginger, cardamom without forgetting the famous clove, and also fruits, cocoa and coffee. Local lunch with spices provided. Arrive in Stone Town for a guided tour of the city steeped in history and classified as a world heritage site by UNESCO. Tour includes: the House of Wonders, the national Museum, the fort, the House of Dr Livingston, the Cathedral St Joseph, the old slave market, the central market and typical sculptured Arabic-influenced doors of Zanzibar - Time free for Dinner and overnight at the hotel in the center.

Day: - 7

Stone Town (B) : departure by private boat for Changuu, called Prison island, the island of the tortoise. Free time to discover the island and the old prison. Meet with giant tortoises, the species which arrived from Seychelles in the XIXth century. Swim and dive with snorkel & masks. Free time for lunch. Return to Stone Town early in the afternoon. Spare time. It is at the end of the day that Stone Town livens up, the inhabitants take advantage that the heat becomes less oppressive to walk in the shaded alleys. Shops and restaurants are all open and people fill the streets socialising. In the evening, next to the harbor you can stroll in the Jamurturi Gardens and taste different foods from grills freshly cooked. Free time for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day: - 8

Stone Town : a final round in the center to admire the famous doors of Stone Town before transfer to the airport for the international flight (possibility of extension for a safari).
