Day: - 1

On your arrival in Dar es Salaam, reception and transfer from the airport to your hotel located south of the city. Dar es Salaam is the largest city in Tanzania, whose name means "haven of peace", an old fishing village turned into a commercial port by the Sultan of Zanzibar in 1850. Enjoy free time to visit with the guide the picturesque market fish, the National Museum and cooperative tinga tinga. Overnight at the hotel, bandas on the beach (huts in Swahili) on stilts (bed & breakfast).

Day: - 2

Dar es Salaam-Selous : morning, transfer to the Tazara station and train to Selous Game Reserve (Note now, only tuesday and friday at 10:00am). Arrival at Kisaki station - reception and transfer to the lodge for dinner and meeting with the manager to discuss the program for the next two days. Accommodation is in a stone cottage on the Beho Beho hillside. Full board accommodation (breakfast, lunch, dinner).

Day: - 3

Selous : Safari choice. The Selous Game Reserve is the largest protected wildlife reserve, a World Heritage site and a pristine uninhabited area larger than Switzerland. The topography of the park varies from rolling savannah woodland, grassland plain and rocky outcrops cut by the Rufiji River and its tributaries. Activities are game drives, a walking safari and a boat trip at Lake Tagalala where crocodiles, hippos and grazing game can be seen. Overnight at the lodge.

Day: - 4

Selous : Safari choice. Possible visit Masai Village nearby. Overnight at the lodge.

Day: - 5

Selous-Saadani : flight to Dar es Salaam and transfer to Saadani by the coast road from Dar es Salaam and Bagamoyo through to the river Wami, on the southern boundary of the Park (6 hours drive). Saadani is where the beach meets the bush. The only wildlife sanctuary in East Africa to boast an Indian Ocean beachfront. Meeting with the manager to choose the next safari. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in a wood and canvas banda raised high of wooden stilts amid the coconut palms facing the ocean. Stay with full board.

Day: - 6

Safari in Saadani National Park (you can choose) Overnight at the lodge.

Day: - 7

Transfer and return flight to Dar es Salaam (30 minutes). Transfer to airport international departure/or flight to Zanzibar (20 min) if a planned extension.
